Wedding Films at
Crockwell Farm

An exclusive-use rural estate near the Oxfordshire and Warwickshire borders — and one of the most beautifully cinematic venues we film at.

The Venue

Rustic, relaxed, and
quietly extraordinary

Crockwell Farm has been hosting weddings since 2002. Set in the South Northamptonshire countryside down a lane most people have never heard of, it’s the kind of place that stops you when you first see it. The painstakingly restored Vaulted Barn, the 18th-century Farmhouse, the wildflower meadows, the gardens that come into full bloom from early June. It doesn’t try to impress you. It just does.

As an exclusive-hire venue with a three-day format, Crockwell gives couples and their families time to actually be present. That unhurried pace — Friday arrival, Sunday morning breakfast — changes the way a wedding feels on film. There’s space for the real moments to happen.

We’re proud to be a preferred supplier at Crockwell Farm, and we’ve filmed here more times than we can count. Every wedding is different, but Crockwell’s character comes through in all of them.

What makes Crockwell
exceptional to film

Crockwell is a cinematographer’s venue. The Vaulted Barn was restored from stone, and stone holds light in a particular way — warm and directional even on overcast days, dramatic when the afternoon sun cuts through the high windows during a ceremony. It never looks flat.

The grounds offer something most English venues can’t: genuine depth of field. Rolling countryside behind the lawns, 400 acres of wildflower meadows in the surrounding farmland, and a driveway lined with parkland that gives you natural framing at every angle. Golden hour here lasts, and the fields glow.

The three-day format changes the rhythm of a wedding film significantly. Couples arrive on Friday with their families. By Saturday morning there’s already warmth between people, ease, history. The moments that make a film feel real — the unguarded ones — come more naturally when nobody’s counting down the hours.

We’ve filmed every season at Crockwell. Summer is the obvious choice, but autumn has its own character — the gardens in their last colour, the barn candlelit from earlier in the evening. Worth knowing if you’re choosing a date.

The Ceremony The Vaulted Barn seats guests intimately. The stone walls, the light, the height of the ceiling — it’s a natural acoustic and visual frame that doesn’t need much from us.
Drinks on the Lawns The gardens peak from June to October. The farmhouse lawns backed by open countryside give us room to work without intrusion — wide shots, candid moments, golden light.
The Marquee & Dancefloor Crockwell’s starlit marquee is built for atmosphere. The lighting team there know their craft, and an evening reception here rarely disappoints on film.
Drone The countryside around Eydon is genuinely beautiful from the air. The venue, the barn roofline, the wildflower fields — aerial footage at Crockwell earns its place in the edit.
“We could not be happier with our wedding film. Adam captured everything — the emotion, the laughter, the atmosphere of Crockwell. Watching it back is like reliving the whole day.”
