Primrose Hill Farm is a working Oxfordshire farm that has been welcoming wedding couples for years. It’s the kind of venue that doesn’t feel purpose-built — it feels lived-in, genuine, rooted in the landscape around it. The meadows, the farm buildings, the wide open skies — there’s a warmth to it that no amount of interior design can manufacture.

Farm venues film differently to purpose-built wedding venues, and Primrose Hill is a good example of why. The spaces aren’t designed to be photographed — they’re just genuinely themselves. That authenticity reads on camera in a way that’s hard to fake. There’s texture everywhere: the worn timber, the stone, the wildflower meadows with their untidy, abundant energy in summer.
The meadows are worth singling out. When they’re in season, they give you something that feels rare in wedding filmmaking — a natural environment that’s genuinely beautiful rather than manicured. Wide shots, drone footage, couple portraits in the long grass. It’s the kind of location you’d choose for an editorial shoot.
The open skies above the farm are one of its best assets for aerial work. There’s no tree canopy to contend with, no neighbouring buildings interrupting the horizon. A drone shot here on a clear day, with the farmhouse and barn in the frame and the Oxfordshire countryside rolling out behind, is a strong way to open an edit.
