Wedding Films at
Grangefields
A Cripps & Co venue in the Rutland countryside — relaxed, beautifully considered, and one of the most naturally cinematic settings we’ve had the pleasure of filming.
Relaxed, rural, and
quietly stunning
Grangefields is one of the Cripps & Co collection of venues — a group that has built a well-deserved reputation for spaces that feel genuinely special rather than generically weddinged-up. Set in Rutland’s rolling countryside, Grangefields brings the same considered approach: beautiful grounds, sympathetic architecture, and an atmosphere that lets the day breathe.
The venue sits in open countryside with views that give you real space to work with on film. There’s an unhurried quality to weddings here — the kind of day where guests settle in, the light changes slowly across the landscape, and the moments that make a film worth watching have room to happen.
Rutland is one of England’s smallest and least-visited counties, which is part of what makes it so good on camera. It hasn’t been overdeveloped. The countryside around Grangefields still looks like countryside — wide, green, and unhurried.

What makes Grangefields
exceptional to film
Grangefields has the quality that every filmmaker wants in a venue: it doesn’t try too hard. The spaces feel considered rather than styled, and that makes a real difference on camera. There’s nothing to work around, no awkward colour schemes or overly formal staging. The venue just sits naturally in its setting and lets the day happen around it.
The countryside location gives the film a sense of place that’s increasingly rare. Rutland is England at its quietest — gently undulating, unhurried, genuinely rural. Wide establishing shots here carry real weight. Drone footage across the fields with the venue below is one of the better aerial shots we’ve taken anywhere.
The Cripps & Co approach to running events shows in how a day flows at Grangefields. Weddings here tend to have a relaxed rhythm, which translates directly to the kind of unguarded, natural moments that make a film feel real rather than produced. When guests aren’t anxious and couples aren’t being hurried, the camera catches something truer.
Evening here is worth mentioning specifically. As the light drops across open Rutland countryside, there’s a warmth and stillness that’s hard to manufacture in post. If you’re choosing a date, summer evenings at Grangefields are long and golden.
“We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding videographer. Adam made us feel completely at ease and understood exactly what we wanted. When we received our wedding video, we were absolutely blown away — he captured all the emotions, laughter, happy tears, and little moments that made our day so special. Watching it back felt like reliving the entire day all over again.”— Hollie & Callum · Grangefields
